Meet the Anchor Chiropractic Team

Maria Carrell

Maria Carrell, office manager

Hello, my name is Maria and I am the Office Manager at Anchor Chiropractic. I have worked for Dr. Lamar since 2001. I started my career as a dental assistant, then eventually moved to working in the front office. I have also worked for a TMJ practice, an orthopedic surgeon and a family practice. I was able to bring a lot of experience working with insurance companies to this practice. Together with Dr. Lamar and Robin (our massage therapist), I feel we have a very knowledgeable, experienced and caring team.

I enjoy coming to work each day knowing that I am part of a team that makes a difference in people’s lives. It is very satisfying to see patients that have come to our office in pain walk out feeling better. I see relief in their faces when I tell them that I will talk with their insurance company and find out what their benefits are and will help them take care of any issues that may arise.

My interests when I am not at the office include working around our farm with my husband and 2 daughters, and being involved with my daughters’ horse 4-H club.

Robin Hendricks

Robin Hendricks, LMP, massage therapist, chiropractic x-ray technician, and office assistant

Hi! My name is Robin and I am one of the massage therapists here at Anchor Chiropractic. I began with the practice in 2007, and I am happy being a part of this team; it feels like family. I graduated fromPort Townsend School of Massage and previously worked at a day spa in Poulsbo. I am continually taking new education courses to learn advanced techniques and to improve the skills I already have.

I love being able to give people relief from pain. My patients are happy to come in and see me. They don’t think of our sessions as a chore they wish they needn’t do.

In between massages, I am at the front desk helping Maria answer the phones, make appointments, and handle paperwork.

I also help Dr. Lamar conduct MyoVision scans and take and develop x-rays. I go home every day with great satisfaction that I am doing what I can to help others.

When I am at home, I usually find my nose in a book. I love to read. I also have an interest in music and movies and have been dancing in various forms since I was 6. At home, my life revolves around my 2 precocious cats.

Erin Foote

Erin Foote, LMP, massage therapist

Hello, my name is Erin and I am one of the massage therapists at Anchor Chiropractic. I started working here to be a help while Robin healed from a broken foot, and now I am happy to be a more permanent part of the team. I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage and worked in a few different chiropractic offices around Kitsap County. Currently, I focus mostly on injury treatment massage and enjoy using a number of techniques to achieve the end goal of a pain-free patient.

I have always loved helping people. With massage I have a skill that helps to relieve pain and restore muscle function, which makes it possible for patients to continue activities free from pain and with better range of motion. In between massages I help Maria, Robin, and Dr. Lamar by answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and handling paperwork. At the end of the day I leave with the reward of knowing I did what I could to help our patients.

When I am not here at the office massaging, I am either at school studying to become a registered nurse or at home playing with my two goofy dogs. I also enjoy watching sports and, when it’s nice, playing golf with my husband.

Mr. Bones

Meet Mr. Bones!

Greetings! My name is Mr. Bones. I have the privileged opportunity of observing Dr. Lamar on a daily basis as he interacts with his patients. I’m delighted when he enlists my help when explaining the different aspects of chiropractic and the human body. Embarrassingly, it’s difficult sometimes not having any muscles, as I tend to slouch — but Dr. Lamar keeps me standing straight! I look forward to the pleasure of making your acquaintance.

Popcorn the Bear

Meet Popcorn!

Hi, my name is Popcorn! I love it when Dr. Lamar calls on me to show our young patients what an adjustment looks like — and sounds like. But meeting all the different kids that come through our office is the best part of all.

Dr. Lamar Asks some important questions of interest to Kingston residents - Chiropractor Kingston Dr. Lamar Asks...

What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Kingston folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
